For a lot of people, having to call an IT helpline is not something they look forward to doing. Being told what steps to take to solve a problem, in a language they don’t understand, is all too common.

So is being told that it’s not the hardware but the software that is causing the problem only to be told by the software support that it must be a hardware problem. Or the Internet Service Provider (ISP) that says there is nothing wrong with the Internet connection and it must be the telephone line.

As I’m fluent in geek speak and do understand the three letter abbreviations and acronyms I can talk to help-desks and support lines in their language. I can also translate this into plain English so you can understand what is required to solve the problem.
